::Reflects very well the tragedy happened there. Well illustrated and schockingly effective. Details and all were perfect. Read the story behind from google.

::Great place to visit. Beautiful view. Sometimes events. Check out the sunset with your girlfriend/boyfriend.

::You can find the memorial the Pest side, we walked up from the pier where the Hop On Hop Off boats are, go past the St Margarets bridge. Its not something to queue for, you just come across the Shoes on the concrete bank of the river. A very touching memorial to those that lost their lives.

::Such a sad memorial and horrible time\event in human history. The art work is amazing but little do people know about the place's history. Many were brutally murdered here by chaining them together in groups and pushing them into the Danube icy water. These were innocent Jewish men women and children during the end of WW2. The plaque on the floor fails to explain exactly who and how were murdered there. Go visit and pay some honor to the victims.

::We went there in our Budapest visit after receiving recommendations from friends. A very powerful experience. However, we know our history. Others- not so sure. There has to be an English explanation, not only a Hebrew one. I would also add names of victims, or at least families lost.
