  Make sure to visit THIS box when you are in town! Classes run in English multiple times a day every day but you can easily work out during open gym hours too. With fantastic coaches and an amazing community RCD quickly became my second home that I can only recommend to someone who wants a kick ass workout and do not mind hanging out with the best people in Budapest.

  I was in Budapest for a trade show and wanted to keep working out while I was traveling. Plus, CrossFit is such a great way to meet locals and immediately feel apart of a community. I found CrossFit Duna on Google and dropped in on training on a Friday night. First, the location is very cool. On an island on the middle of the Danube? You must be kidding. It was an easy walk from the train station and counting the one transfer I had to make, I got from Downtown Budapest to the box in about 20 minutes, maybe a little less. The box is in a stylish old building and very well appointed. There is plenty of equipment for everyone. I did the 6:30pm class and there were about 15 athletes in the class. Victor was the coach the night I was there and he couldn't have been better. He led us through an involved warmup routine, a strength component and then the WOD. He was very engaged and ensured that everyone was using proper form. Victor clearly has a ton of knowledge to share and is in fantastic shape himself. All instructions were in both English and Hungarian, so any tourists should feel completely comfortable dropping by. They really make you feel welcome. Plus, they blasted Papa Roach for most of the session, so I felt right at home. I had a great experience and I hope to come back soon. And I bought a T-Shirt :) Victor, if you're ever in California, I hope you come by CrossFit Almaden.

  Nice community feel and friendly and talented trainers...a great place to get fit, challenge yourself and make friends. They have a monthly Beginner's Program which is a great intro to both the fundamentals of CrossFit and the community at the box. The gym itself is dog friendly and sits right on the Danube in a quiet corner of Hajogyari-sziget.
