::Really nice old confectioner's. We had really delicious breakfast here. Fresh juice was fantastic as well as omelet and filled toasts. Cakes looked amazing but we didn't try it because we were totally full after breakfast.

::I visited Hauer when they first reopened and have kept on going back for the delicious deserts, attentive staff and well made coffee. The standard has remain good throughout. Whenever I have guests visiting I choose to bring them to Hauer instead of New York Cafe (there are so many bad reviews for a reason), it isn't as grand but it is more true to the confectionery culture of Hungary. There's a lot of seating, so you're not left waiting, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of dessert. If you're a fan of white chocolate, the white chocolate mousse is to die for. The cafe is brightly lit, clean and calm - great for relaxing and savouring every bite of that dobos törte or cheesecake.

::I have enjoyed the coffee and cakes at Hauer several times. The prices are reasonable, the cakes are fresh and well presented. I recently went for a long afternoon with friends- we enjoyed great service, several varieties of coffee and lovely unhurried service. As a big fan of the cukrászda és kávéház culture in Budapest- I will say Hauer is one of my favorites
