  I went to Budapest for working purposes and I really wanted to go inside to rest before taking my car in the parking next to the church and take a long trip by the highway. But, they wanted me to charge me to enter to pray in my church!! waf!!! How this is possible??

  Not really tourist-friendly, you get a little folder with a map of the cutural things in the church, and their names. Almost all things are without a informationplate that describes it, which is unfortunate bacause of the cultural value you could get. It was fairly empty of people, and me and my friend saw the start of a service of some kind which was really cool. On the plus side: Not many people there Beautiful church with beautiful decorations Cheap price (1000huf) Its still an active church Quiet Negative: Not much information about all the cool things they got Hard to see some of the things the've put in the folder bc of it being in an area you cant enter. The lady that sold the tickets didnt know english. She WAS very nice though, and told us about the downstairs part by gestures and hungarian.

  Afters being closed for years we finally managed to visit this church. The church has been restored very nicely - hence I think paying the 1000ft entry fee is acceptable. The church itself isn’t massively ornate, but it’s historically interesting. The chapel underneath the church is worth a quick visit as well though it does feel a bit like a conference room. If youre in the area - it’s worth stopping by and having a look inside. It’s worth noting that the church also has a preserved mihrab prayer niche from dating back to the ottoman occupation of Hungary when the church was converted into a mosque.

  I was at a wedding ceremony in this church and liked the place a lot. It might not be as golden a fancy a Mathias Church, but it is sure worth seeing it!

  Unfortunately it does not worth the entry fee. For 1000 forints you have nearly anything. You can visit the simple inside and the cave where you also have nearly anything. Nothing is written or explained and they shut down the lights after 10 minutes in the cave. I wouldn't suggest to anyone just if you really know the story of the church and this is your specificity.
