  Awful rate. We exchanged £130 into Forints and they gave us 37000. Had we gone to the place we had earlier in the week we would have got 46000 for our money. Daylight robbery.

  we were stuck for money very late at night 25th/26th May 2017 due to a problem with a card of ours. All through the night, we waited for money to be transferred by my daughter. The staff here (the girl on night shift and the woman in the morning) could not have been more patient and helpful. we had little id on us, no bank details, spoke no Hungarian and were in and out the shop all through the night. She was so patient and helped us to make sure the transaction went smoothly. The delay was caused by the bank in the UK not WU. Thank you so much to this young lady for all her help and advice (including keeping us calm). Very professional yet polite and friendly at all times. Similarly the woman in the morning when we finally received confirmation. The transaction was quick and friendly with great empathy for our situation. Thank you ladies for helping us ensure the last day of our short break was another amazing day in beautiful Budapest.

  Attrocious experience! I had 4 identifications on me (passport, national id, irish national id, student card) all valid, still wouldnt give me my money. Spoke to 2 customer services at WU, the english one was ok, seems like you have different regulations in different countries. The lady was horrible and unhelpful at the Vorosmarty branch, I felt like a begging idiot with my own money not being given to me. Regulations were not clear and communicated with us when sending the money so there was no way of knowing hungarian regulations. It was horrible and ruined my whole day, never mind that i couldnt get my money. Horrid experience, never trust sending money through here! Our money still isnt transferred back to my account 5 days later. Western union sitting on my €'s for days after not even giving it to me for no reason while being rude and calling me "homeless" quote! (Problem: i didnt have hungarian address card on too of my 4 valid IDs, because i no longer live in hungary but being hungarian, i should have had one (no) because the dear lady said even every homeless guy has one so where is mine?) anyway. Ridiculous. Im more sorry about my ruined day that i was supposed to spend with my grandma, that i instead spent at western unionat vorosmarty tèr fighting for my money with 4 valid IDs. Thanks! If i could give -5 stars.
