  Ticket office for international destinations does not work on Sundays, and there is no enough information at the station. Every sign, flier, information board, and the touch screen info point were either in Hungarian or German: No English. There is free wi-fi, toilets some shops and cafe, as well as an OTP Bank ATM.

  Budapest-KeletiからICにてこちらへ到着。 アルプスから吹き下ろす風でいつも涼しいと言われていますが、2月に訪れてみたところ、実際相当な寒さで、ブダペストの気候とは比べものにならないくらいでした。素敵な街なのですが、寒さで観光の気分にはなれず、街をサッと一巡して、退散、という感じになってしまいました。それほど寒さの厳しい地でした。 ここから列車でオーストリア、ウィーンへ向かいました。シェンゲン協定加盟以前は機関銃を携えた国境警備隊の厳重なチェックがあり、物々しい感じでした。パスポートもかなり入念にチェックしていました。オーストリア領内に入ると、オーストリアの国境警備隊のチェックもありましたが、こちらは180度変わってフレンドリーそのものでした。今はパスポートチェックもなくなり、国境を超えた実感があったかつての時代が懐かしくもあります。

  A bejárat egyik része akadály mentesített. De zárva. A vagányokhoz toló kocsival csak előzetes bejelentéssel lehet eljutni s körülményes.

  Tiny rail station, but the WCs are clean and the cafe offers good coffee.
