  This place pales in comparison to Action, which unfortunately closed for some reason. It is over-designed and not conducive to group stuff. A bunch of giggly twinks. Only three hot men there. I miss Action. Why did it close?

  Not a bad setup. Rude staff and even more rude when my wallet was stolen. So do not take any valuables as the owners do not care about the theft issues saying it’s the clients own fault. I did not want a refund (never mind the huge charges my friend has to pay to get our jackets back), just wanted them to acknowledge they have an issue and are addressing it. My friends also got stolen in the same night. All we got were rude staff giving us the finger, not sure if they like that to everyone or to tourists. Anyway would not recommend due to the staff.

  Awful reception, didn't even bother to go further the front door. The doorman was not only dumb, nose deep down on his phone, he was also very rude. Not even possible to say bad costumer service because this individual simply had no idea of what these word mean. He was just rude and cheap, I didn't even bother to answer. Simply turned my back and walked away. This place doesn't need me and I definitely do not need it.

  Bar is quite good , if your a tourist it isn’t very friendly no effort is put in by the staff to welcome you I found the tall bar tender with the glasses on quite rude. I suppose being the only proper gay bar in the city they think this is normal .

  After reading many negative reviews I was a bit hesitant visiting Coxx. The staff were very friendly and music was good with a nice crowd. This is a men only gay bar. So the lady who made a negative review and complained that they wouldn't let her in, that is the reason. I think some of the negative reviews are from people who do not understand the entrance policy and how paying for drinks works. You get a ticket upon entering which is a receipt for your coat check. The cost of drinks when ordered at the bar are added to the ticket. So you don't actually pay for your drinks when you are ordering them. At the end of the evening when you want to leave , you hand your ticket into the bar and they add up the total cost of all your drinks. You then pay for your drinks and then go upstairs to collect your coat when you leave. It is vital you do not lose the ticket! This is because it is the only record of the drinks that you have had and hence if you lose the ticket then you have to pay a penalty of about €35. That only seems fair since the bar would lose out as there is no record of the drinks you had. Yes it's quite an unusual drinks policy but once you understand the concept it is not difficult. Would I recommend this place. Yes. Will come back again.
